Receptionist / Customer Experience Advisor

Neptune HQ, Swindon - Permanent, full-time

The role

Out of all the departments at Neptune, if the building and central services team were to suddenly disappear it would be immediately felt. These are the people - the cleaners, caterers, engineers and receptionists - that keep our head office not only running smoothly, but make it a safe and homely place to work.
Based within our truly stunning office in Wiltshire working as part of a small outstanding team, you will deliver a world class customer experience to each and every person you come into contact with. Whether this be greeting customers in person or over the phone, our retail partners or visitors and fellow colleagues, delivering exceptional is the norm here at Neptune.
In this varied role you will focus on:

  • Ensuring all visitors feel very welcome and prepare refreshments
  • Greeting and impressing all internal customers as they arrive and leave the building
  • Answering all calls to the main telephone number and calls to the customer care team promptly and professionally including product queries, and transfer calls professionally
  • Responding to both internal and external customer requests
  • Supporting our customers through online live chat
  • Managing the mailing of brochures to new and existing customers each day, manage the post out and parcels in, order stationery for the business, and maintain the visitor book
  • Ensuring the reception and showroom is tidy and prepared each morning for visitors, including lighting and extinguishing the candles

To really sparkle in this role, you'll ideally have experience in a similar type of position, working within a small team. Your natural positive attitude and polite and professional manner will be used daily in this exciting role. In addition, you'll take pride in getting the job done to the highest possible standard whilst juggling multiple responsibilities. You'll also be computer savvy and fully prepared to learn new systems.

Our Story
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for their exacting standards, design-led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, they're perhaps most known for kitchens - with heirloom-worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune's trademark 'look' is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. They're also respected for their commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, they make things they're proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
