Neptune Bury St Edmunds
43-45 St. Andrews Street South, Bury St. Edmunds, IP33 3PHA warm welcome
The story behind Neptune Bury St Edmunds is one that dates back to the Georgian era. It was originally built for Robert Boby – a brand made up of inventors, designers and makers of hay and seed machinery. That’s why the road that runs alongside our store has the name ‘the Robert Boby Way’. When we restored it, we kept as many of the original features as we could from the large sash windows to the grand double staircase. And more recently, we’ve added new elements that are respectful of its heritage, such as the beautiful orangery at the rear.
In all of our stores we try to include as many of our designs as possible, but to give you a better idea of what you can find within the confines of Neptune Bury St Edmunds, just keep scrolling…

Who you'll meet
We’re a happy team of 13 here at Neptune Bury St Edmunds. Run, by husband and wife, Martin and Jane, together they’ve built a team of textile experts and home specialists who combine a wealth of knowledge and a passion for detail. Jane is the store leader, who brings a lot of retail experience with her. Then there’s our kitchen team: Lara and Lewis, our senior designers, who have years and years of experience and, together, will be with you for every stage of your kitchen project; Ellen, our junior designer, who’s busy learning from Lara and Lewis to become a fully-fledged kitchen designer, and is our go-to for boot rooms and laundry rooms.
Our collections
All four of our kitchen collections are waiting to be explored so you can get a real feel for every aspect from cabinet design to worktops. You’ll find each one is set side by side with a living or dining space so that you can see how they work together, be it in a city apartment, contemporary townhouse or country cottage.
Inside Neptune Bury St Edmunds you’ll find a selection of our most-loved dining tables with perfectly paired dining chairs, all dressed with a small selection of our tabletop pieces like pure linen tablecloths and hand-made crockery.
We’ve filled Neptune Bury St Edmunds with an edit of our furniture collections, spanning the entire design spectrum from classic to contemporary. You can also explore all of our home accessories that translate to any room, helping it to feel warm, welcoming and perfectly in balance.
In our bedrooms, you’ll discover serene and restful decorating ideas, capacious wardrobes and chests of drawers, and blissfully soft, Portuguese-made cotton and linen bedding. Then there’s our solid timber beds, of course, upholstered headboards and handmade, natural mattress Barrington. And like in our living rooms, trying them out for yourself is most definitely encouraged.
We have a large Orangery with terrace that during the Spring and Summer months we fill with al fresco design so that you can get a sense for how you might like to dress your great outdoors, conservatory or garden room.
Next door to our bedrooms, you’ll also often find dressing areas and washrooms. This is where you can discover our natural timber and Carrara marble washstands, our made-in-the-UK bath & body collections, and our elegant storage solutions to help you create a calm and welcoming bathroom.

Need to Knows
We have our own dedicated customer car park with 14 spaces as well as one disabled space. And it goes without saying that it’s free to park.
There’s a single step into our store but we have a ramp that’s ready to help. We don’t have a lift however, so the upstairs section has limited access. If there’s anything you would like to check with us before you visit, we’re just one call away.
There’s a little section of the store where you can park your pram should you want to. Inside, it’s lovely and spacious so even a double buggy will find its way around though. We also have colouring in materials to keep little ones entertained.
Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome to rest their paws in our garden terrace area while you browse to your heart’s content.
